- Hello windows folks. Before I get on the phone to
- complain about my monitor, I'd just like to check that
- I am not doing something stupid.
-
- I have 3.1 on a 4Mb 486 33DX. Paradise, SVGA, and 130 Meg.
- I have multimedia, installed as part of Creative Labs
- upgrade package. (CD, SoundBlaster Pro etc...)
-
- Every now and then, while running application, or just tooling
- around on the desktop, my colors wash out, as if all the red
- had been removed. This is annoying, to say the least. This
- happens both when the monitor is warm (after a few hours)
- and cold (soon after start up). Another clue is that it has
- happened in a non-Windows app (from the DOS prompt).
- The monitor is a 14" SVGA capable, NI made by CTX (whoever
- they are).
-
- My thought is that it is a physical prob with monitor. Any
- *other* possible explanations would be very welcome.
