- I'm having a problem getting simple computed sums of fields to work
- properly in an ACCESS report if any one of the referenced fields is
- blank. Paradox has a default option on whether or not to regard blanks
- as zero, but I cannot find a similar option in ACCESS.
-
- For example the text in the control is:
-
- =[OFFICE]+[HOLIDAY]+[TRAINING]
-
- And the report shows a proper result if all three fields have a number
- (even zero) in them. But if any field is empty, the result field on the
- report is blank.
-
- On-line help says the "sum" function interprets blanks as zero, but that
- does not seem to be the case.
-
- Gotta be a way, but I can't find it or get thru to the Microsoft ACCESS
- hotline.
