  11. I'm having a problem getting simple computed sums of fields to work
  12. properly in an ACCESS report if any one of the referenced fields is
  13. blank.  Paradox has a default option on whether or not to regard blanks
  14. as zero, but I cannot find a similar option in ACCESS.

  16. For example the text in the control is: 
  17.  
  18.     =[OFFICE]+[HOLIDAY]+[TRAINING]
  19.  
  20. And the report shows a proper result if all three fields have a number
  21. (even zero) in them.  But if any field is empty, the result field on the
  22. report is blank.

  24. On-line help says the "sum" function interprets blanks as zero, but that
  25. does not seem to be the case.

  27. Gotta be a way, but I can't find it or get thru to the Microsoft ACCESS
  28. hotline.
