- DOS 5 can use either a 12 or 16 bit FAT. If your drive has less than FF1h
- clusters, DOS will use a 12 bit FAT (thus giving you a little more space for
- data). You'd have to have a pretty small partition to end up with a 12 bit
- FAT (less than 20 Meg) but I just created a small one and that's what I
- ended up with.
