- Herein lies a problem which is coming to the information delivery surface at a
- blinding speed. Namely the question of copyright vs. freedom of information.
- It seems to me that the publisher owns this information, and as such has the
- right, if they so choose, to either not release any information or when it is to
- their benifit give us at least a teaser of information (if they will just get a
- gopher). The "virtual library" concept is in the same stewing pot. This may
- not be the proper place to start such a discussion, and if it is not please
- direct us to a more appropriate place. However, this is all very important to
- the future of gopher services, and needs to be aired in a constructive manner.
- Thanks for allowing me to beat my drum for a few seconds.
