  16. I tried to set up some indexes as specified in gopherd.8.

  18. %mkdir $gopher_data_dir/FAQ/.emacsindex
  19. %cd $gopher_data_dir/FAQ/.emacsindex
  20. %mv /tmp/emacs-faq  .     
  21. %waissindex -t dash emacs-faq
  22.  
  23. Then I checked my indexes with waissearch,

  25. %waissearch -d index dired

  29. Then I created the file $gopher_data_dir/FAQ/.Links :

  39. clicked  on it, got the question box, typed "dired" and got a:

  43. Tried the same with filetype=mail and with a mail folder and got same
  44. response. I can't see what's wrong.

  50. With the exception of the WAIS indexes everything seems fine.
