  12. Using PC Gopher II version 1.05r3, if I connect to merlot.welch.jhu.edu,
  13. pick the "Search Databases of Welchlab..." selection, pick the
  14. "Cloning Vectors: plasmids, phage, etc." selection, then search for,
  15. for example, "rat", I get an apologetic popup window stating that gopher
  16. is "Sorry!  When I looked I didn't find anything."

  18. Things work if I search using the "Internet Gopher Information Client v1.1"
  19. on a Sun 3.

  21. If you have ideas of why PC Gopher and merlot.welch.jhu.edu don't get along,
