- Not to pick on Bob, but this is getting ridiculous!!!!! It is NEVER good
- net etiquette to post requests such as these to the list!! The original
- January 14 posting from Richard Snodgrass had his email address in the
- header,
-
- >From: rts@CS.ARIZONA.EDU (Rick Snodgrass)
- >Subject: Spatiotemporal database bibliography
- >Date: 14 Jan 93 20:57:27 GMT
-
- and also in the footer or signature file of Richard's posting:
-
- >Richard Snodgrass Internet: rts@cs.arizona.edu
- >Associate Professor
- >Department of Computer Science
- >University of Arizona AT&T: (602) 621-6370
- >Tucson, AZ 85721 FAX: (602) 621-4246
-
- And further more, his posting contain clear and explicit instructions
- on how to get the bibliography yourself, if you have ftp access:
-
- >The postscript version is available via anonymous ftp from cs.arizona.edu
- >in the bib directory, in the file spacetime.ps. The entries
- >themselves, in a format suitable for use with the latex formatting
- >language, with most including abstracts, may be found in the file
- >spacetime.bib.
- >If ftp is not available, and you would like a copy, I would be happy
- >to email you the postscript or .bib version.
-
- With such clear instructions, and clear addresses of the person so
- kindly offering the bibliography, it is beyond me why ANYONE would
- post the request for it to the whole list, never mine why so many people
- would. Please, PLEASE don't post things to the list unless you REALLY
- want thousands of readers to see them, or unless you have no alternative
- because of a lost email address or something like that!
