  38.    The conference on "Advances in Urban Spatial Information and
  39. Analysis" focuses specifically on the latest developments and ap-
  40. plications of urban spatial information technology and analysis
  41. techniques, and intends to isolate the major problem areas and to
  42. discuss the future research and application directions.

  44. Topics
  45. ~~~~~~
  46.    Submissions of papers presenting the academic achievements or
  47. practical developments in urban spatial information and analysis
  48. are invited.  The topics to be addressed may be summarized as
  49. follows:
  50.   - Future remote sensing systems for urban applications
  51.   - Urban statistics from remote sensing and GIS
  52.   - Data modeling and management for urban GIS
  53.   - Design and implimentation of operational urban GISs
  54.   - GIS-based facility location and site selection
  55.   - Application-oriented urban spatial analysis
  56.   - Standards for urban digital spatial information
  57.   - Development and applications of SDSS
  58.  
  59. These topics are not the limit of the spectrum of what it is possible
  60. to deal with; new topics will be accepted following the criteria of
  61. the Programme Committee.

  63. Exhibitions and Excursions

  65.    An exhibition of advanced technology for urban spatial information
  66. and analysis will be organized.  A visit to the Three Gorge area
  67. will be organized immediately after the Conference.

  69. Paper Submission

  71.    The abstract should be submitted by the 15th of April, 1993.  The
  72. final paper should be submitted by the 15th of August, 1993.
