- I use the NCSA hierarchical data format (HDF) to store my simulation
- data. Now and then I need to plot 1D-data sets or rows or columns of 2D
- data. For these plotting purposes I have used the Igor software running
- on Macs. I have some tools, which extract 1D data from the HDF files and
- convert that data to ASCII or Igor Text format.
-
- A more elegant solution in my opinion would be to have an Igor XOP, which
- would extract the 1D data from the HDF file and create a wave out of it
- (a HDFLoadWave XOP). Unfortunately I am so C-illiterate and short on
- time
- that I would not like to start doing such a tool myself, especially if
- someone out there has already done it.
-
- The question is: has anyone out there created a HDFLoadWave XOP or might
- WaveMetrics (or NCSA) be interested in creating such a tool...
