  37. AIM AND SCOPE:
  38.  
  39. The overall goal of the Conference is to gather people from Western and 
  40. Eastern countries, from industry and universities, to promote contacts
  41. between specialists from different organizations with different profiles, 
  42. to set up links between different  fields of informatics.
  43.  
  44. TOPICS:
  45.  
  46. Traditionally the programme of the conference focusses on three main topics
  47.  
  48. but generally is not limited to them. For this year, the following topics 
  49. are emphasized:

  51. A) Information systems and telecommunications in business and public 
  52. administration
  53.     - methods and systems
  54.     - legal aspects
  55.     - organizational, social and ethical impacts
  56.     - education
  57.     - standards
  58.     - information management
  59.  
  60. B) Hypertext and multimedia systems
  61.     - models and methods
  62.     - cognitive aspects
  63.     - personal computing
  64.     - cooperative work
  65.     - software
  66.     - object-oriented environment
  67.     - application in training and documentation
  68.  
  69. C) Graphical methods for scientific and technical computing
  70.     - computer geometry
  71.     - scientific visualization
  72.     - CAD, robotics, and VLSI
  73.  
  74. The programme will consist of lectures of 90 minutes duration, short papers
  75.  
  76. of 30 minutes duration, discussions, poster session and demonstrations. The
  77.  
  78. texts of the lectures and the short papers will be published in the 
  79. proceedings of the conference.
  80.  
  81. CALL FOR PAPERS:
  82.  
  83. Those with appropriate scientific and technical experience are invited to 
  84. submit papers to the conference. The text (in English) up to 8 pages 
  85. should include the title, author's names and correspondence addresses, a 
  86. brief abstract, an exposition where the essence and the specific results 
  87. are given, and a bibliography. Type the manuscript on white A4 paper,
  88. keeping 
  89. the text within a frame of 240 mm long and 170 mm wide. Use 1 1/2 spacing. 
  90. Avoid using dot-matrix printers in draft mode. The papers in camera-ready 
  91. form must be received at the contact address in triplicate not later than
  92. February 15, 1993.  An electronic copy of the paper (6 A4 pages, ASCII
  93. format only)  can be submitted by e-mail to "barnev@bgearn.bitnet" but if
  94. the paper is accepted the author should present a paper camera-ready
  95. version at a later time.

  97. The papers will be reviewed by at least two members of 
  98. the International Programme Committee and those accepted will be published 
  99. in the proceedings. Accepted papers will be included into the programme of 
  100. the conference either for oral presentation or for a poster session.
