  10. Some month ago someone from Sybase in this newsgroup told us to upgrade 
  11. to 4.8 or 4.9.1 which would solve many problems recently discussed in
  12. this group, he said.

  14. Well that's fine, except for: where are the beasts? When I briefly
  15. discussed it with Sybase Sweden the other week I got an answer of
  16. the kind "mumble, it's probably not available yet". At least before
  17. when they didn't carry the name Sybase, Sybase Sweden were not known
  18. to be quick on getting upgrades which had been released a long time
  19. ago, but I like to imagine now that when Sybase is lending them their
  20. name, that they get the stuff the quicker, so I figured that the versions
  21. *we* need may not yet be available. But I thought I should check it out 
  22. from some other channel.

  24. So here it goes: is 4.8 or 4.9.1 available for HP 9000/800 and
  25. IBM RS 6000? And if so, together with which versions of HP-UX and
  26. AIX respectively? Presently, we and our customers are running are
  27. running HP-UX 8.00/8.07 and AIX 3.2.
