- I am posting this for a co-worker that does not have net access. You
- may respond to me or him.
-
- Hi,
- I am interested in finding information on the
- file formats in Informix, Progress, and Oracle.
- Are there utilities out there that will read
- the database files for these databases.
- We are trying to tie the data together from several
- different sources and would like to create a central
- utility.
- We have had trouble using anyone of these sources.
- The Progress utilities require that you precompile
- and hard code the name of the files that you wish
- to modify. It is ignorant of Informix data files
- as well. Informix and Oracle have their problems
- as well.
- I would like share ware or lists of vendor software
- either or both are fine.
- If the file formats are documented in good texts
- that information would be most welcome.
-
- Thank You for any assistance.
-
- don fair.
