  15. I am posting this for  a co-worker that does not have net access.  You
  16. may respond to me or him.

  18.     Hi,
  19.     I am interested in finding information on the 
  20.     file formats in Informix, Progress, and Oracle.
  21.     Are there utilities out there that will read
  22.     the database files for these databases.
  23.     We are trying to tie the data together from several
  24.     different sources and would like to create a central
  25.     utility.
  26.     We have had trouble using anyone of these sources.
  27.     The Progress utilities require that you precompile
  28.     and hard code the name of the files that you wish    
  29.     to modify. It is ignorant of Informix data files
  30.     as well. Informix and Oracle have their problems
  31.     as well.
  32.     I would like share ware or lists of vendor software
  33.     either or both are fine.
  34.     If the file formats are documented in good texts 
  35.     that information would be most welcome.
