- (assuming their /n/c/b/w) it's because of the way dos doesn't (by default)
- sort the filenames - on Unix, it'd do this too (and will show it to you
- if you force it) - when you expire the old news (5741 and 5742) the new
- news takes the first available directory position for the new news.

- I know of no situation in which waffle's rnews.exe would UNBATCH news out
- of order. that doesn't mean it's impossible, but... it'd be tricky at
- least, and definitely a non-obvious way to do it.
