  27.   Yes!  To get an 8-bit channel my chat script tells the Annex the following.
  28.     stty oflow none iflow none -tabs attn none -imask7 parity none tesc none
  29. The chat script breaks this up into multiple lines.  Setting these
  30. parameters also enables zmodem transfers.
