  12. I'm getting my Waffle iron back up and it's just about ready to go but 
  13. there is a problem- I can't login remotely.

  15. Here's the situation:
  16.  
  17. 1. I can login from the console- that's what I'm doing now.
  18.  
  19. 2. I dialin from my other line with another computer and the modem 
  20. answers.   I get the result codes, messages locally but not remotely.
  21.  
  22. 3. I get nothing remotely- banner, login or NEW: or anything.  All of 
  23. these are available locally.
  24.  
  25. I've scoured the docs and the FAQ and can't find any reference to this 
  26. problem.

  28. BTW- I have no problems with any other aspect of the UUCP.  Polling 
  29. works- (duhh!! How are you reading this!), news reading works, etc.

  31. Can anyone help me?

  35. P.S.: fangio is on a 386 now instead of a XT- I'm getting 1100-1300cps 
  36. from the same feed I couldn't get more than 400cps with the same setup.
  37. The 386 did the trick!
