  27. retribution. It thus allows the worker to vote entirely by conscience. How
  28. this could not be considered a "good thing" is beyond me.

  34. Just because intimidation *may* come from the employer (and a secret ballot
  35. does not make it any more likely) doesn't excuse making it easier for the
  36. union to intimidate if it so desires. The two are related, but *separate*
  37. issues.

  39. By this logic it is not necessary to hold elections. We'll just let the
  40. Tories get signatures of support until they reach the 50% mark. As well,
  41. let's make sure the Tories have a record of each person who refused to
  42. support them - I'm sure they wouldn't think of having Revenue Canada give
  43. these people some extra scrutiny.
