  14. I managed to get egg on my face for this one a few months ago.

  16. There is a startup parameter in the dirmaint data file which is set to
  17. have dirmaint run in test mode (i.e. don't update the real directory).

  19. By default at install time it is set to test.

  21. I don't have the manual in front of me so I can't tell you what the
  22. actual parameter name is.
