  14. I would like to add my name to those who express gratitude to MSU for
  15. supporting this list server and to Elliot Parker for managing it.  The
  16. list provides a valuable source of news about the region so that those
  17. of us interested in day-to-day events have a supplement to the slim
  18. pickings in the local/national media.  It also offers a forum for the
  19. discussion, (lively, but not always temperate) of important issues in
  20. the region.  In addition, it is a ready and convenient means of
  21. communication between those of us who are interested in Southeast
  22. Asia.  I suppose it needs repeating every now and then, but this list,
  23. like many others is open to all who wish to speak, to inform and to
  24. respond.  If you sense a lack here, then fill it.  No one stops any
  25. one from sending news or information.
