- I have to agree with John Kline and Matthew on this issue. I have to admit that
- some of these postings on the net of late have their place, but not on
- the net. Tor says that these types of postings are great, because they sho
- that we can concern ourselves iwth the 'real world' issues, and try to
- apply our collective knowledge & experience toward 'real world'
- issues (if you can call the cowplop postings an 'issue').

- I like to joke around as much as the next person (and you all can attest to
- that viz my postings), however, I believe that we SHOULD try to constrain the
- parameters of what we discuss to more "ivory tower' types of postings. That
- doesn't mean we have to be TOTALLY academic, or that the Psycgrad net has to
- take on the feel of a journal, with some editorial board deciding which
- postings are "acceptable" and which ones aren't, .....It just means that we
- should refrain from getting too inane (what a poet I am). Anyway, I hope that
- doesn't sound too high-n-mighty.....
