  12. I did a study where I interviewed kindergarteners.  I needed to know SES,
  13. but rather than ask the children, I had the parents fill out a brief form
  14. when they signed the permission slip for me to interview the child.  I asked
  15. other questions about the child that the child could not reliably answer,
  16. as well.

  18. As far as how did I measure SES, I used a gross measure of how much schooling
  19. did the parents have, but you could also ask about occupation and use the
  20. Hollingshead ranks.
