  15. Someone mentioned a "deal" on micros (486 for $1300 US?).

  17. I suggest you check with your campus bookstore, or Computer
  18. Center.  One of them may have a deal with one of the
  19. manufacturers for special pricing.  I know Ferris does (we
  20. used to handle some of it in the CC, but it's all been
  21. transferred to our bookstore).

  23. THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH -- just a statement of fact:

  25. We were offered deals by IBM and by Gateway (some software
  26. and a mouse come with each deal):

  28. IBM:  PS/Value Point 433DX:  486-33MHz (66MHz optional $$),
  29. 8MB RAM (more at $$), SVGA, 120MB HD (170 or 212 at $$,
  30. 3.5" floppy (5.25" $$), and 14" monitor.
  31. Price:  US$1517, + $369 for monitor.

  33. Gateway:  4DX-33:  486-33MHz, 4MB RAM, SVGA, 250MB HD (others
  34. up to 500MB for $$), 3.5" and 5.25" floppies, and 14" monitor.
