  17. Reference and Bibliographic Instruction Librarian.  Search Re-opened.
  18. Franklin & Marshall College is looking for an energetic and creative
  19. librarian  to coordinate and revitalize the library's bibliographic
  20. instruction program.  This is a full-time position, reporting to the
  21. Associate Librarian for Reference and Instruction,  that presents a
  22. challenging opportunity for someone interested in using technology to teach
  23. information retrieval skills to highly motivated under-graduates.  In
  24. addition to  coordinating the bibliographic instruction program, job
  25. expectations include regularly scheduled assignments at the reference desk
  26. (including one evening a week and some weekend duty), online database
  27. searching, and oversight of the library's microcomputers.   Franklin &
  28. Marshall is a Macintosh campus with an excellent computer staff available
  29. to support library programs.

  31. Qualifications include an ALA/MLS, bibliographic instruction experience in
  32. an academic library, microcomputer applications, and good  interpersonal
  33. and communication skills.    A strong background in the humanities and
  34. knowledge of a foreign language are highly desirable.  The libraries of
  35. Franklin & Marshall contain over 340,000 volumes, are a selective
  36. depository for U.S. documents, and are automated using the DRA ATLAS
  37. system.  Salary in the mid to high $20s, commensurate with education and
  38. experience.
