  16. Only JCL that is used repeatedly or JCL shared by other jobs should be
  17. cataloged as a procedure.  This follows the sub-routine philosophy.  If a
  18. module of code is used more than once in a program, then it becomes a
  19. callable sub-routine.  That way, you only have to maintain one copy of the
  20. module.

  22. As far as the discussion about MVS and VSE JCL, they are both unique and each
  23. has its own personality.  It reminds me of the parents who wanted to dress
  24. their kids up in matching outfits so they would be perceived as twins.  That
  25. didn't work either.
