- Michael Lacey, in LBC90 their is an assembly variable called
- &INPUT which can be set to either MARCU for unspanned or to
- MARCS for spanned. In either case, because it is MARC, it has
- to be treated as Undefined by the operating system, that is,
- I believe you need to leave recfm = u. You certainly need recfm
- of u in MVS if you have a true MARC format tape. Sorry to say
- I have never had to use INPUT=MARCS so I can't guess whether it
- will work for you.
