  13. Michael Lacey, in LBC90 their is an assembly variable called
  14. &INPUT which can be set to either MARCU for unspanned or to
  15. MARCS for spanned.  In either case, because it is MARC, it has
  16. to be treated as Undefined by the operating system, that is,
  17. I believe you need to leave recfm = u.  You certainly need recfm
  18. of u in MVS if you have a true MARC format tape.  Sorry to say
  19. I have never had to use INPUT=MARCS so I can't guess whether it
  20. will work for you.
