  36.    THE ARACHNET ELECTRONIC JOURNAL ON VIRTUAL CULTURE

  38.    The ARACHNET Electronic Journal on Virtual Culture
  39.    shall be created and published by ARACHNET. Virtual
  40.    culture is computer-mediated human experience/behavior
  41.    /action/interaction, such as electronic mail, conferences,
  42.    and journals; information distribution/retrieval; the
  43.    construction and visualization of images/representations/
  44.    models of reality and/or worlds; and global connectivity.
  45.    The purpose of the refereed journal is to foster, encourage,
  46.    advance, and communicate scholarly thought, (including
  47.    analysis, evaluation, and research) in multiple disciplines
  48.    about virtual culture.

  55.    The Journal will be issued monthly commencing with the
  56.    first issue on March 15, 1993.

  58.    Each issue of the Journal will be less than 100 type-written
  59.    pages in length in the first year.

  61.    The official language of the Journal will be English.
  62.    Translations into other languages for limited issues may
  63.    be approved by special arrangement.

  65.    Deadlines for the submission of manuscripts will be the
  66.    first of the month preceding the next issue. The deadline
  67.    for the submission of manuscripts for the first issue is
  68.    February 1, 1993.

  70.    Articles will be 5-20 type-written pages in APA form and
  71.    style and in ASCII format.

  73.    All manuscripts will be given at least two blind reviews
  74.    by a jury of referees.

  76.    Authors will be notified within twenty days after receiving
  77.    their manuscript of the disposition of the manuscript, except
  78.    notification about submissions for the first issue will be
  79.    distributed by March 1, 1993.
