  49. graphics for data analysis; production techniques; advanced techniques
  50. for envisioning information.

  53. INFORMATION DESIGN   The world is complex, dynamic, multidimensional;
  54. the paper is static, flat.  How are we to represent the rich world of
  55. experience and measurement on mere flatland?  To envision information
  56. is to work at the intersection of image, word, number, art.  The
  57. instruments are those of writing and typography, or managing large data
  58. sets and statistical analysis, on line and layout and color.

  62. dimensions to information displays.  Evaluation of various supercomputer
