  70. My Comments about this Hunt

  72. 1.There were some tricky moments for me in this Hunt.  I set
  73. myself up for some tough questions that I'm still tracking
  74. down.  If anyone can provide more illumination on why Giovanni
  75. De Poli's appears to have 5 email addresses, or the Toyota
  76. question, fire me off a message and I'll summarize.
  77.  
  78. 2.It's becoming more difficult to grade certain types of
  79. responses.  Some players used a local Turbo gopher client to
  80. connect to their home gopher server.  This made it tough to
  81. retrace as I don't know where their home gopher is.  While I
  82. could manage it (because I know the answers!), it may be
  83. difficult for others to follow their searches.
  84.  
  85. What I'm thinking of doing next month is asking players to
  86. double check that they are including the hostname and port for
  87. their home gopher server so that others can follow in their
  88. footsteps.
  89.  
  90. 3. Since I've included all the answers for both classes of
  91. winners, and I really want to include other good answers, the
  92. size of this document is getting out of hand.  What I think
  93. I'll do from now on, is just pick out a few answers for each
  94. question that are good, or clever, or illuminate some little
  95. known method for wrestling with the dreaded Net-Beast! :-)

  99. Veronica now has boolean searching capabilities.  Precedence is
  100. left-to-right, with no nesting operators.  It is
  101. case-independent.  When you access Veronica read the About file
  102. for explanations.

  120. with a Gopher for Hunt distribution.  Now, rather than having
  121. to wait for mail and usnet messages to percolate to them,
  122. players can grab the Hunt questions mere seconds after I make
  123. them available.
