- David Morse, who does our collection development, is on sabbatical, so I'm
- responding for him. He used the "dropped thread" method and wrote it up with
- great humor for our local medical library chapter newsletter. Pieces of
- thread were laid on top of bound volumes. If they disappeared, the volume
- had been used. David specified the thread carefully - not too light to blow
- off, but not too heavy to be noticed, etc.
