- Hi, folks. This subject gives me the perfect opportunity to introduce
- myself, since I'm a new subscriber to MBU. My name is Leslie Harris (I'm
- male, despite my gender-ambiguous name), and I'm currently a graduate
- student at U.C. Berkeley. I'm on the job market this semester, and since
- it's an awful year to be looking for a job, I've sent out lots of letters.
- For each school that requests a dossier up front, I have to take a trip
- over to our Career Planning and Placement Center, and I have to pay them
- $4 (four dollars) for the privilege of their photocopying and sending
- out my dossier, which includes my letters of recommendation. I would like
- to agree with all those who recommend limiting dossier/letter of recommendation
- requests to the final few.
-
- Thanks for listening.
