- I think the willingness to revise on the computer also has to do with
- the way the student is using the machine. From my (quite anecdotal)
- experience, I would say that writers who actually compose at the
- keyboard are more willing to change things there, while writers using
- the machine more as a souped-up typewriter are less likely to revise
- on-screen. The former group still seems to be in a creative, trial-
- and-error stage, while the latter group has moved the "clean, finished
- copy" mentality back a step from laser hardcopy to screen. Make sense
- to me--whatcha think?
