  18. I think the willingness to revise on the computer also has to do with
  19. the way the student is using the machine.  From my (quite anecdotal)
  20. experience, I would say that writers who actually compose at the
  21. keyboard are more willing to change things there, while writers using
  22. the machine more as a souped-up typewriter are less likely to revise
  23. on-screen.  The former group still seems to be in a creative, trial-
  24. and-error stage, while the latter group has moved the "clean, finished
  25. copy" mentality back a step from laser hardcopy to screen.  Make sense
  26. to me--whatcha think?
