- Can you suggest IBM compatible software that would be useful in a
- high school English classroom and/or on a LAN? At the moment we don't have
- classroom computers in place, and I'm trying to write a justification for
- having them and need some specific uses and products. We do have a
- computer lab to which we can take our classes on an appointment basis, and
- the word processor installed on those machines is MS Works. I'm inclined
- to think a program such as MS Word 5 (or the latest upgrade) might be more
- beneficial because of its annotation property.
-
- Other than straight word processing and the ability for both students and
- teachers to critique and edit a writing-in-progress, can you give me any
- suggestions/examples for other uses of classroom computers? I'd also
- appreciate any other information that you feel might be beneficial to me
- as I attempt to think this proposal/justification through.
