- hishistorical autobiographical accuracy of the story, would you
- lelet me know if Orwell really did shoot the elephant? I know he
- wspent some significant time in Burma (re *Burmese Days*) and was
- tired of Brit. imperialism. . . but shooting an elephant. I
- don't know.
