  22. hishistorical autobiographical accuracy of the story, would you
  23. lelet me know if Orwell really did shoot the elephant?  I know he
  24. wspent some significant time in Burma (re *Burmese Days*) and was
  25. tired of Brit. imperialism. . . but shooting an elephant.  I
  26. don't know.
