- I admit it: I have not heard of, or (knowingly) read anything by, Maya
- Angelou, Cees Nooteboom, or Donna Tartt. (The good news is that because of the
- way my knucles drag when I walk, it wears the excess hair off.) Could some-
- body enlighten me as to what kind of stuff they write - when they wrote it -
- what they have written - and what I should read?

- p.s. I'm quite clear, by the way, that Maya Angelou is NOTNOTNOTNOTNOT the US
