  17.         I admit it:  I have not heard of, or (knowingly) read anything by, Maya
  18. Angelou, Cees Nooteboom, or Donna Tartt.  (The good news is that because of the
  19. way my knucles drag when I walk, it wears the excess hair off.)  Could some-
  20. body enlighten me as to what kind of stuff they write - when they wrote it -
  21. what they have written - and what I should read?
