  20. Well, the GNU C++ complier (GCC) is available (is it freeware/shareware or
  21. what?) on many FTP sites, amongst them are wuarchive (I think :-). The
  22. question isn't really (or shouldn't be) how compliant it is to the PC
  23. compilers, but rather its compliancy with ANSI or other standards (I don't
  24. know whether there are any standards for C++ yet, though). Most C++-specific
  25. features such as classes, virtual member functions, multiple inheritance and
  26. perhaps streams should be fairly standard among the different compilers. We
  27. use TC++ 3.0 over here, with BC++ to be installed soon, and I'll tell you
  28. it's a beauty :-P  Why aren't there any decent integrated editor/compiler/
  29. linker/debugger applications for the Amiga? When you've used Borland's
  30. products you get a little spoilt, I know, but if we're to expect truly
  31. professional applications for the Amiga, then we deserve the tools to create
  32. them.
