  13.  Please make sure that however large the class is, that you have
  14. enough teaching or graduate assistants on hand who can adequately
  15. shoulder the workload without any disadvantages to the professor,
  16. the TA or the students who have registered for the class.
  17. Many years ago, I was a graduate assistant to a professor who had
  18. had two survey civilization courses with a combined number of over
  19. 120 students. The professor gave over the period of the semester
  20. six essay exams, and I had to grade all of them by myself! In addition,
  21. study sessions were held by me periodically. All of this, plus struggling
  22. to keep abrest of my own studies. While I enjoyed helping the students,
  23. this was one person who was very happy to see the semester end!
