  24.           NOTICE:  The new and improved TRI CD-ROM containing the 1987-1990
  25.           data, the TRI Chemical Factsheets and a statistical processing
  26.           feature should be available the third week of January.  A
  27.           supplement search guide should be available at that time and will
  28.           probably be included in Admin. Notes as it was last year.  If
  29.           there is interest, I can also make it available on the list, but
  30.           the text will probably need reformatting before it can be used by
  31.           patrons.  A complete User's Manual is in the works for the 1987-
  32.           1990 CD and I will keep everyone updated on its availability.

  36.           In answer to the question, I have several that need to be
  37.           answered first.  What directory is the TRI CD installed in?  Were
  38.           you running other software on the pc earlier?  Has it worked
  39.           before and not worked one time?

  41.           The best hypothesis is that you used the pc earlier that day with
  42.           other software, then went to use the TRI CD.  Sometimes other
  43.           software will leave "stuff" in RAM.  The first thing to do when
  44.           you get an out of memory message is to reboot the system.  (Do a
  45.           hard boot where you turn the machine off, not a soft boot ctrl-
  46.           alt-del.)  Then try to use CD.

  48.           Also,  we have found that the CD uses a lot of memory so you may
  49.           want to disable any software like Windows or a dosshell that may
  50.           be running in the background.
