  14. As a new member of this list, I am faithfully doing as requested and
  15. giving a brief description of myself and my work.
  16.  
  17. I am a high school librarian in a large (2,000 students) 3 grade
  18. (10th-12th) school.  My main emphasis at work is helping students with
  19. research and reference.  We have a fairly adequate facility that has begun
  20. the process of automation.  I am currently trying to upgrade our computer
  21. system and to introduce the new technologies that are changing our world.
  22. I am, of course, meeting with resistance from the staff that has little or
  23. no training in electronic learning.  Budget is also a problem, but a new
  24. superintendent of schools who seems to be forward thinking is giving me hope.
  25.  
  26. I am enrolled at Texas A&M University as a graduate student seeking a
  27. Master's degree in Educational Technology.  I am thoroughly enjoying my
  28. course work there.  I have just begun my program at A&M and can only take
  29. 1 course a semester as I work full time.  The program is demanding but useful.
  30.  
  31. I know that I will enjoy participating in this discussion group.
