  16. I note with interest the recent discussion on Health Science students.
  17.  
  18. I have embarked on a university-funded project in an attempt to make life easier
  19.  for Health Science (Nursing) students hitting statistics for the first time.
  20.  
  21.    The idea is, initially, to investigate what strategies/resources are being
  22. used in the various tertiary institutions, aimed at maximising the quality of
  23. learning (of statistics) by Health Science students. Of particular interest,
  24.  would be those pertaining to distance education (external) teaching, however
  25.  methods for internals will also be investigated.
  26.  
  27.    The move to a university setting for Health Science training is a fairly
  28. recent event in this state, and therefore it would be beneficial to build on
  29. the experiences of those educators who have already been down this track.
  30.  
  31.    If you fit this category, or can refer me to those that do, I would be
  32. grateful for any information with which you can provide me:
  33.    strategies, resources, student types/profile, any evaluations made
  34.  (informal/formal), anything you have found useful, ... a list of "do's" &
  35.  "don't's" !! ...
