- I also asked if anyone knew of the situation in the DC
- schools. We received no response here. However, I would expect
- that if Chelsea had been assigned to a specific public school which
- was "safe" rather than the one she would attend because of the
- geographic location of the White House, there would have been shouts
- of "special" treatment or similar cries that it was unfair. In fact,
- it would be tantamount to "choice" in the public schools. Would
- other parents in the DC schools have an equal opportunity of choice in
- sending their children to a "safer" school?
