  20. I will try to answer, as short as I can.

  24. War in Yugoslavia went through different phases. Started in Slovenia, in June,
  25. 1990, then Croatia, today Bosnia, tomorrow Kosovo. First it was to stop
  26. anti-socialist forces and dissolving of Yugoslavia, then it was protecting
  27. Serbian minorities in ex-Yugoslavia. Now is to carve so-called serbian republic
  28. out of Bosnia and make it part of Serbia. Because population is so mixed in
  29. Bosnia and regions with Serbian population are not neighbouring Serbia, war
  30. became ethnic cleansing.

  34. Official is (maybe perverted) but still Real. I can tell you only real
  35. reasons as i saw it. Main reason was economic crisis, which hit post-communist
  36. countries. In Yugoslavia it was more complicated with strong Party prevailing
  37. in some  parts of Yugoslavia (in Serbia) and
  38. huge and privileged Yugoslav People's Army. So fighting is unfair from the
  39. beginning, because one side got all the tanks and airforce from the Army.

  41. At the moment these all might be historical reasons. Fighting now have many
  42. other reasons, plundering and revenge among them. It is interesting that
  43. Bosnia was (before the war) a symbol of nations' understanding. Especially
  44. their capital Sarajevo, where people mixed, intermarried and lived in perfect
  45. (almost) understanding. It is hard to believe, but you can take my word for it.

  47. Now, fighting sides have different plans. Serbian side is going through a plan
  48. called "Winter sleep", because they took too big territory to defend. And
  49. winter is harsh in Bosnia, so they can not use their heavy weaponry, Bosnians
  50. are attacking now, using guerilla tactics.
