This reminds me of a discussion we had locally recently about listserv
software. We use the package PMDF (for Vaxes running VMS) and it is an
extremely reliable and flexible package.

As we evaluate what we want out of email, we are looking at all possible
options. In the listserv area, what is there which

    - runs on Unix

    - is reliable

    - has lots of features (database, multiple channels, automatic handling
      of almost everything, extensive help... and the other things that seem
      to only exist in unreliable beta-test Unix listservs :-)

Perhaps people would care to comment on what they use at their site, how
extensively it is used and how rugged it seems to be. I am particularly
interested in comments from or about the large sites.
