- We were fortunate enough to have Notis come and do two training sessions
- for our circ staff. In addition, we were also able to use a test database
- that very closely resembled production (same policies, locations, patron
- groups, etc..). Most people found those sessions very useful.
-
- Either one of the two methods you are considering will probably do the
- job of introducing your staff to the automated system. My only word of advise
- to you is to remember that training is an ongoing process. Ideally, you want
- your people to learn to train themselves. Because of this, I would strongly
- encourage you to teach your staff not just "how to do this", but also "where
- do I look for clues when I've forgotten how".
