- Hi,
-
- and I thought we were the only ones having mameory problems with
- the new software.
- We initially had version 3.26 of this software which was used only
- for Inspec. When we had 3.3 a couple of months ago, we found that it ran
- out of memory all the time. A call to UMI informaed us that 3.3 uses LESS
- memory than 3.26 so we spent ages checking the rest of our system.
- Eventually we PROVED that it uses a vital 34k MORE memory.
- Thanks a bunch, UMI.
- And now ABI has turned up with the new software and we can't run
- that either.
- Does anyone have ANY suggestions re: getting more memory available.
- The standard config of users' PCs is a 640k 88/286 ( we can live with slow
- access as long as we have SOME access ).
- So far I'd give UMI's helpline 2 out of 10.
