- The limitations you are running into are limits of your hardware not of
- SCSI Express. The number of CD-ROM drives that SCSI Express can support
- for a particular server can be calculated by taking the number of SCSI
- Host Adapters the server can support times 7 CD-ROM drives per SCSI Host
- Adapter.

- With an ISA Bus machine you are limited in the number of host adapters
- (approx4) due to DMA, IRQ, and port addressing. With an EISA Bus machine
- you can support more adapters, upto 6 (maybe 7) depending on the EISA
- Machine. Therefore with 6 SCSI Adapters and 7 CD-ROM drives you can get
- 42 CD-ROMs on an EISA server. Give our technical support department a
