- I for one would be interested in a neo-Latin network, although, as a 17th
- specialist, I would like to see it reach out farther than just the 18th.
- And since there seem to be a few people out there with an interest in such
- things, a query:
-
- Does anyone know what the first line of this inscription means?
-
- D.O.M.S.
- H.S.E.
-
- This is from a tombstone from 1680, German. The second line means "Hic
- Sepulta Est." It has been suggested that the first line is "Dominus Omnium
- Magister [something]" with the something being "sapientiae" perhaps...
-
- I would be glad to hear if someone recognized the abbreviation, however
-
- Thanks in advance
