  11. Thank you to those of you who offered your advice and assistance on
  12. finding some 1730s sources -- David Levy, Suzanne Gibson, Arthur J.
  13. Weitzman and Diana Patterson.  It seems there just aren't a lot of
  14. novels out there, but your ideas and leads have at least given me a new
  15. direction to think about.  Do you think Delariviere Manley's _New
  16. Atalantis_ and _Queen Zarah_ are too early to compare with Haywood's
  17.  
  18. 1736 work? D. Levy suggests that 40 years, then, was relative.
