  12. Did the person seeking info on the Preferred Group of mutual funds receive an
  13. answer?  I searched on Dow Jones, found no address and deleted the message.
  14. That same day, we received a gift from a faculty member, Morningstar Mutual
  15. Funds Ondisc, which had exactly what was needed.  This CD contains info on
  16. 2532 mutual funds.  It is very wonderful!

  18. The family of funds known as the Preferred Group began in July 1992.  It is
  19. made up of PFAAX - preferred asset allocation, PFXIX - preferred fixed income,
  20. PFGRX - preferred growth, PFIFX - preferred international, PFSGX - preferred
  21. s/t gov't securities, PFVLX - preferred value.

  25. Last month I asked for help with mutual fund info.  Thanks to all who responded
  26. - I ended up using Tradeline on Dialog.  I was able to set up a program
  27. using my communications software to dial up the database and input all the info
  28.  at the appropriate time (it waited for the ? prompt).  It took a while to set
  29. up, but it turned a $75 search into a $15 search and there were no typos or
  30. pauses in the search. I just sat by and watched the screens fly by.
