  12.         Several months ago one of the lists to which I subscribe (I
  13. believe this one, ASHE-L) contained a satirical posting about a journal
  14. that seemed to be designed solely for the purpose of padding vitaes.  The
  15. posting generated several follow-ups, primarily from people who didn't get
  16. the joke and wanted more information.  Does anyone retain a copy of the
  17. original message?  If so, please send it to me.
