  17. Well, there's a chance it doesn't even exist seeing as how I discovered
  18. it listed in the new 1993 Rolling Stone guide to what music they think
  19. is important. (Geez, they even waste the space on Tiffany only to give
  20. her 1/2 a star for her first album, and zilch for the rest.) It's pompus
  21. as hell, but I managed to pick up a beat-up copy for half price. Actually
  22. it's quite alot of fun to compare the new guide to the old RS guide from
  23. 1983. Their opinions swing far and wide. Albums they gave 5 stars to when
  24. they first came out get 2 and 3 stars now. Great fun.

  32. Little do you know that I savor these top 10 lists of yours, and I actually
  33. go out and find this stuff. (Well, only as quickly as my pocketbook allows.)
  34. If Beer listens to it, it must be worth listening to, or definately worth a
  35. try at the very least.

  37. Did you ever get a listen to that Miles CD from November of 1967 in Paris?
  38. I'm submitting the "Round Midnight" from that CD for the newest allmusic
  39. compilation.

  41. And what did you think of the videotape I sent you? The one of Miles live
  42. in '66, '67, and '68?

  44. I never did get back to you about taping some more Miles for me; I really
  45. should. Bought Big Fun the other day and simply love side 3, the one that
  46. sounds like Jack Johnson's first cousin. What other Miles stuff can I get
  47. that sounds like JJ? I've got In A Silent Way, and it's like a mellow JJ.
  48. What about the second album of Directions? I've heard the first album, but
  49. the library's copy was missing the second one. If you have Directions, I'd
  50. sure love a copy of that. I'm really starting to get into the late 60's
  51. early 70's Miles stuff more. (With the exception of Bitches Brew which I
  52. still can't listen to very much, but haven't listened to it in months, so I
  53. should really try again.)
