- [Nick Hecker (nickh@informix.com) asks why California gas prices seem
- higher lately]
-
- Starting this winter, California fuels are oxygenated for lower (CO ?)
- emissions during cold-weather conditions. I believe this started
- at the end of October and will end at the end of January. I seem to
- recall this adds about 14 cents per gallon, but reduces winter smog
- by 30% or more.
